Many years ago a group of readers working in our corporate call-center devised a 9-topic tarot spread that is tailored to providing readings on the phone. Many readers have successfully adapted this tarot spread into their readings to provide more in-depth readings that provide their customers with amazing results!
The 9-Topic Tarot Spread
For this spread, turn each card over in turn as you concentrate on this question: “What should be focused on in this aspect of life?” If any particular topic requires more in-depth examination, you could create a side-layout for that topic, such as a 3-card spread for clarity.
Card 1 = FOCUS: The overall picture you are seeing with your caller. First impression of what is going on in their life. This is a good time to ask if there are any specific areas of their life that they would like you to take special consideration of. Also a good time to look at what has been happening in the near past.
Card 2 = CAREER / EDUCATION: Take a look at where they are in their life as far as their job is concerned. Discuss opportunities for career advancement, the need for further education, or the possibility of starting a business.
Card 3 = FINANCES AND MATERIAL MATTERS: Discuss material matters. Their home environment, travel, inheritance, rewards and gifts, success, and fortune all may be topics described in this card.
Card 4 = ROMANCE: This is obviously a major concern for many of your callers. Discuss their love life. Look at the possibility of a new relationship entering their life, or where their current relationship is headed.
Card 5 = MAGIC AND UNEXPLAINED: Discuss the mystical with your caller. Look at things that may be happening to them that they do not understand. Discussion topics may include spirits of deceased relatives, news the caller will soon receive, and their spirituality.
Card 6 = HEALTH: Look at what is happening with your caller’s physical body. A good time to discuss the need to take better care of themselves. Look into any physical ailments that may exist for your caller now or in the future. Don’t forget to always explain your reading is not a replacement for medical advice, and suggest that they visit a physician. Don’t provide any specific diagnosis.
Card 7 = EMOTIONS: Look at the caller’s emotional state. If they are feeling fear, anxiety, disappointment, etc. explore ways for them to overcome these problems. You may also look into what will provide your reader happiness or pleasure, and how they can achieve such a state.
Card 8 = RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHERS: Here you will explore your caller’s non-romantic relationships, such as friends and family. Look into any problems that are occurring with your caller’s family. You might also discuss unions and visitors that you see in the future.
Card 9 = FATE AND WHAT CAN’T BE CONTROLLED: This is a good way to wrap up a reading. Reiterate things that your caller is able to change in their life, and the results you see if they make those changes. But also look at things that the caller has no control over, and help them to accept the fact that they can’t change everything. Wrap up with homework for the caller, such as meditations that will help them find ways to make important changes in their life.
