Describe how you first found out about your psychic abilities.

I was always an incredibly sensitive and empathic child – an old soul with a wisdom beyond my years. I just knew things. When I was 14, I had my first conscious out-of-body experience. The ‘essence’ of me, or my ‘spirit’ lifted out of my body as I watched my physical body lying down on the bed below. I was then filled with the knowledge and understanding that we are not just our physical bodies but so much more.

What have you done to develop your abilities?

In my late teens I started practicing yoga and meditation regularly and this became a way of life for me. It has allowed my psychic and spiritual abilities to open up with much greater force. I have become a clearer channel and my intuition has become stronger. Becoming a Reiki Master also had a similar effect. My visions, clairsentience, ability to see and communicate with higher dimensional beings and also beings not from a higher plane, and my gifts of translating and relaying pertinent information to the recipient have expanded. Practicing Kundalini yoga in particular has been especially transformational. Training in different parts of the world with various spiritual healers, tarot experts, and also teachers like Doreen Virtue has taught me to use my gifts in a practical way.

Describe your skills.

A reading with me can be a transforming, cleansing, clarifying, and uplifting experience. At the start of a session I will generally guide a client to take some deep centering breathes with me and I ask that whatever needs to be revealed for the highest and best good of all concerned will come through.

When I begin reading, the clairsentient knowing takes over, and I begin receiving images and impressions. I use Tarot Cards and Angel Oracle Cards as a gateway to spiritual information which I then strive to relay in a very practical, grounded and compassionate way for the client.

If the situation calls for it I am able to send healing Reiki energy to assist with energetic clearing and rebalancing for the client. My aim is to help people out of the muck of confusion, darkness, and indecision, to offer solutions and guidance, to help them get more in touch with their own clarity within, and help people find comfort and validation in times of need.

Can you communicate with spirits who have passed on?

This has not been my chosen area of specialty, however I have had the ability to feel, sense, and see spirits not of this physical world. This is not an everyday occurrence for me however. If there is a particular deceased person or pet that someone wants to contact, I do have the ability to call that being forth and communicate messages and information from them to the client. I have had some experience, but not extensive experience using this ability, but it is definitely something I’d like to keep working on!

Are you able to turn your psychic abilities ‘on’ or ‘off’ when you want to?

Understanding my psychic and intuitive gifts has been a life-long process of learning that still continues to evolve. While my intuitive faculties are always operating and can never be turned ‘off’’, I have found that being psychically open all of the time in every situation can be quite harmful and hurtful to me. I’ve always been extremely sensitive to the vibrations, thoughts and feelings of others around me and the environments I’m in that I had to really learn to put up adequate and healthy boundaries, to shield and protect myself, and learn to, in essence, ‘block’ what was coming at me for my own peace of mind.

I’ve found that practicing meditation and mantras is the most powerful way for me to open and enhance my gifts and keep my vibrational frequency high. I love to burn aromatherapy candles and use oils like frankincense or jasmine to create sacred space around me.

What is life like living with these abilities?

Being psychic and intuitive can at times be a double-edged sword. The positives however far outweigh any drawbacks in that being psychic has enriched every area of my life. I’m more creative, in tune, I feel my connection to others and the world around me is deeper than if I didn’t have these gifts. Being a deeply sensitive person means that I’ve always had a special connection with children and animals, and this has brought so much joy to my life! Another facet of being psychic and intuitive is that I thrive on lots of alone time to recharge, recuperate, and re-center myself , and over the years I’ve learnt to accept and honor this need in me.

Do you think anyone can develop psychic skills?

I believe we all have natural psychic, telepathic, and intuitive abilities however some of us are more naturally inclined that way. Psychic skills and trusting what they tell us also requires a willingness and ability to let go of the rational, logical mind which may be more difficult for some than others. Having some kind of spiritual practice – such as meditation, prayer, or being out in nature, I believe, will always enhance and develop one’s natural psychic gifts in that we are shedding the layers of all that we are not, to come more into the fullness of the truth of our spiritual natures.
