Describe how you first found out about your psychic abilities.

Late it was in life when I first recognized my psychic abilities, but thank goodness not too late. I have had these aptitudes since I was a child. As I was unaware, did not understand them, and had no one in my life who would believe me I was completely bewildered and lost. I quickly learned to keep my mouth shut about anything remotely different. As you can expect I moved away from home once I was old enough. As I matured away from my loving but unreceptive family, I realized I knew and saw things that came true or were correct about people and situations. I read and delved into phenomena I was experiencing. I received readings confirming my abilities. Although I came by my abilities naturally, (everyone does) I was not encouraged to acknowledge or develop them as a child or teen. Once I accepted these Spiritual messages as the gifts they truly are, I began developing and training in them more fully. “Better late than never” is a motto by which I live.

What have you done to develop your abilities?

As with most things in my life I have un-traditionally developed my skills as a psychic. For years, I read anything I could on my own and met with other like-minded individuals who encouraged me in learning all things metaphysical. This past year I was encouraged by Spirit to begin training that is more formal. Since then I have attended Louise Hays “I Can Do It” convention completing several workshops and receiving certification in Doreen Virtue’s Angel Card Tarot Reading (CACR); completed Certification for Intuitive Healing Practitioner (CIHP) from Noreen of Indigo Lights; and I am currently working a twelve-week course for psychic development from Sonia Choquette. Developing one’s psychic abilities is as individual as we all are and the ways are as numerous as the stars. I believe in doing what works for you.

Describe your skills.

Loving anything to do with numbers or animals my specialties are Numerology and Animal Medicine Cards. Also, since the death of my father where angels truly came to assist my family, I am drawn to use Tarot and Oracle cards for divination usually implementing Angel card decks. Currently I work with and choose from 12 different decks, sometimes using multiple decks at the same time for a deeper or clearer answer. Some unusual decks in my stash are Faeries’ Oracle and Goddesses cards. When looking for additional confirmation on readings or psychic messages I will use a pendulum. I also reference and encourage positive affirmations in healing your physical and mental health in regards to all aspects of your life. Through my years of dabbling and this past year’s education, I have found using together Numerology and Animal Medicine Cards one will receive a very clear message from Spirit. Use any and all the tools necessary to g et the job done.

Can you communicate with spirits who have passed on?

No, I do not communicate with Spirits that have passed on but am developing that capability. I do, however, communicate with my own deceased relatives through dreams. The subconscious is a gateway for anyone to see and hear messages from their loved ones. Dreaming opens the door to strengthening gifts.

Are you able to turn your psychic abilities ‘on’ or ‘off’ when you want to?

Is there an “off” switch to anyone’s psychic aptitudes? Spirit is always with each of us. All the time! Most people learn very early to ignore their Higher Selves. Just as we need to utilize filters to get by in society with our actions and words, most practicing psychics utilize filters to get by in life. I know my psychic talents are always there or “on” however; I prefer to follow a set of rituals to prepare for a reading. I feel strongly the ceremony opens and closes the messages delivered from the Divine. It also allows me to request assistance and express my gratitude to those Spirits. These habits filter the psychic energy and allow me to organize my life. Meditating, burning incense, ringing bells, and invoking Spirit and my Guides truly make the reading special and ceremonious. I am grateful for healthy habits.

Although my psychic faculties have never been In the way of a “normal” life if Spirit strongly wants a message delivered they will let me know. I will feel a pressure on the top of my head, top of my left shoulder or the middle of my back. Spirit is literally pushing me to relate the message. Spirit forever finds a way.

What is life like living with these abilities?

Gifts are a blessing. It should follow that living with a gift is also a blessing. Not necessarily true. Fear and ignorance are the antithesis. Therein lays the heart of the matter. Some people fear anything or anyone who is different. These same people’s ignorance and inability to accept change pushes them to ruin gifts. This happens to most psychics at some point in their journey. It can be difficult. Nevertheless, I choose to trust, to believe the glass is half-full instead of half-empty. People who do listen and accept my talents sustain me. They express to me how their lives are much clearer and easier to live now. Therefore so is mine. Opening myself to my gifts, expecting my gifts, and trusting my gifts grant me a happier, fuller life. A life I truly enjoy. Living with my gift is truly a blessing.

Do you think anyone can develop psychic skills?

Do you have instincts? Well doh!!! We all do. I firmly believe everyone has psychic capabilities. Not everyone’s abilities and strengths are the same however. Each person needs to accept and be open to his or her aptitudes first, and then receive training in developing them. Honor and respect the process to Spirit knowledge.

Do you get readings for yourself?

Occasionally I will seek readings for myself. I look for someone with an honest attitude and appearance. I trust my instincts or psychic abilities when choosing a psychic. I also trust those same talents when receiving the messages delivered by another psychic. After all, the message delivered is from Spirit. I know that I am difficult to read, as I tend not to respond outwardly very much. I am intent on listening internally to my own understanding of the message delivered. My preference is to do readings for myself. However, I am open to receiving messages in any shape from songs on the radio, noticing certain animals, insects, etc; to psychic conveyed communication. Messages from Spirit come in many forms.
