Interview With a Psychic: Jean

Describe how you first found out about your psychic abilities.

I would say I first came to recognize my abilities at the age of 16 when prior to moving to a new home my parents had purchased I had my first what I like to call spiritual experience.

The first premonition I had came to me in a very vivid dream of someone breaking into the new house. I didn’t think too much of it, until my first day I was alone in the house my parents had gone to work when soon after I was startled by loud banging only then to find to men standing in my living room. Fortunately they left as soon as they realized someone was home.

What have you done to develop your abilities?

After having a couple of premonitions I began to read everything I could find. I had so many questions, I finally brought it up to a friend one day I thought he was going to think I had lost my marbles. My friend turns out had studied pagan religions and shared with me the importance of meditation and self-protection. As I got older I began taking mediumship classes in local spiritualist churches where I gained a great deal of knowledge about angels spirit guides and healing. I still continue to take classes and sit in spirit circles.

Describe your skills.

I generally like to start off my readings with a short prayer of protection and to invite the angels guides and teachers in. I find that every reading is different so depending on which direction spirit guides me may use tools such as tarot or oracle cards. I am empathic so I generally get a very strong sense of emotions surrounding a situation.

Can you communicate with spirits who have passed on?

Often times when I am giving a reading I will have clients loved ones come for me they will often give a word phrase or scent that the client relates to. I am able to work with my mediumship abilities on demand and was trained to do so in during my classes within the Spiritualist church during this training I would give spirit greetings during church services. I often receive visits from my grandparents especially my grandma’s.

Are you able to turn your psychic abilities ‘on’ or ‘off’ when you want to?

When I do reading I do say a prayer for protection and call in my guides and angels. When I am done reading I do say a closing prayer ; however I am never fully shut down.

What is life like living with these abilities?

I have found through the years that being intuitive has helped keep me from getting into bad Situations and it’s not something that is very blatant it a more of a gentle thought about something like taking a different route to work and missing a bad accident.

Do you think anyone can develop psychic skills?

I believe everyone has intuitive abilities and everyone can develop their specific abilities.

Do you get readings for yourself?

I enjoy having readings done for myself as someone else is able to provide insight with their abilities that I will not pick up on for myself.

Is there anything else you would like to share about your abilities?

I have noticed as I have gotten older that certain abilities have gotten stronger or changed just like people we evolve grow and change.
