Interview With a Psychic: Caressa

Describe how you first found out about your psychic abilities.

I was raised in a strict religious family but soon began having unusual experiences. I began seeing and hearing crossed over people who I later learned were in fact relatives, yet I had never met these relatives as they had passed away before I was born. I had many mystical experiences as a child and young teenager and while they may have scared my Mother a bit, she believed and encouraged them and encouraged me to always be sure they were from God or the light.

It wasn’t so difficult growing up that way, as it was totally organic to me from an early age and yet I felt isolated in some ways from my young friends as this was a part of my life I did not feel free to discuss. My paternal Grandmother had similar gifts and I learned that my Mother also saw spirits.

What have you done to develop your abilities?

I felt these were gifts from God and I was here not to keep them to myself or to simply use them for myself but if there was any way I could serve others with them, it was my duty, or a true obligation to follow through. I began my spiritual studies in my early 20’s, taking various courses and seminars in all areas of spirituality. I have completed advanced levels of Reiki energy healing, advanced levels of the healing touch program to best learn how to focus my gifts. I completed a complex life coaching course, and many classes in developing clairvoyance, clairaudience, and intuition. I began teaching psychic development courses over 7 years ago.

Describe your skills.

A reading for me is about receiving the most purposeful information for the highest and greatest good of the client that I have the honor of connecting with. As someone who has experienced many readings in her lifetime of all various kinds, I ask the divine to provide humbly through me, the information the person I am speaking with needs most at that particular time. I tune-in and focus without judgment or opinion and receive messages through clairvoyance and also hear words through clairaudience. My entire focus is on the client I am reading with and what their needs are. I often will see images or scenes in the third eye. The goal is always, how can I serve, help or assist the client for their highest and greatest good?

Can you communicate with spirits who have passed on?

There are times crossed over loved ones come to the reading without asking for them with messages for the client. There are also times when a client specifically asks to communicate with a crossed over loved one and they will normally come through with some sort of message or confirmation.

Are you able to turn your psychic abilities ‘on’ or ‘off’ when you want to?

No, this is not an option as they are organic to my being. It would be like turning off eyesight or hearing through the ears.

What is life like living with these abilities?

It is a blessing, I am humbled and grateful. The challenge in the past as often been one of seeing things about people I failed to recognize previously such as true intentions and the truth was sometimes painful however, it was a blessing nonetheless. I believe there is a great responsibility with these gifts to stay pure in intention, and to leave the ego out of this vocation.

Do you think anyone can develop psychic skills?

I believe each person has gifts and some are going to be stronger than others. For example, some people have incredible hearing or very good eyesight or a distinct sense of smell or taste. It’s the same way with psychic abilities and the key is finding your personal gifts and learning how to develop and focus them.

Do you get readings for yourself?

As people often get their regular check-ups with their doctors, I too like to receive readings a few times a year to make sure I am on target and properly aligned and focused in the light of God. I have had mixed experiences with readers but I believe some readers just naturally align better with certain clients.

I do receive information for myself from time to time though I do not ask for it, spirit provides things I need if necessary.

Is there anything else you would like to share about your abilities?

I believe these abilities are a gift of God and the divine beings, who are expressions of God’s love for us. I am so grateful and humble to utilize them and upon completing all readings, I send prayers, good intentions and healing light and energy for all clients.
