How Do I Know If My Partner Is My Soul Mate?

I think the questions I get asked the most are those about karmic relationships. These types of relationships are often misunderstood, but, it’s understandable that people would want to know how you can see if your relationship is a soul mate connection or not. There are a few ways we do this, using astrology.

The Ascendant

One of the very first things we do, is to look at each person in the couple’s Ascendant. Your Ascendant- or your rising sign, is an incredibly important factor in each relationship you have. The way that your Ascendant works with someone else’s can often show how harmonious or discordant a relationship may be, or has the potential to be.

The Nodes of Fate

The North and South Nodes of the Moon- otherwise known as the Nodes of Fate, are also incredibly important in synastry, particularly when determining the karmic ties a couple may have. This can also be a big indicator of a past life connection, the karma that needs to be worked out, or the karma that comes into play in any given relationship.

Outer Planets and Asteroid Connections

Of course, Sun and Moon connections feature heavily in a synastry- they’re all about us, and our emotions, but did you know that outer planets, stars, and even asteroids can indicate a soul mate tie? Oh, yes. When there are big interplays involving Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, Chiron, and other lesser known aspects: you can almost be sure of a karmic tie. Eros and Psyche- two asteroids that show powerful love and lust implications in all of our charts, certainly seem like an obvious indicator of this, as well.

Beyond Synastry- The Composite Report

If a synastry report has some strong ties, you can almost always bet that the composite is going to be incredibly strong. This is because a couple’s composite report is not just their relationship now, but, how it played out in the past, how it will play out in the future, and all the karma involved. An incredibly strong composite report will often reveal a karmic tie that may have challenges and harmonies the couple may not even realize.
