Intuition or psychic ability is an innate talent that everyone is born with. Very young children have tremendous access to it. As adults, we must exercise our ability.
Here are 7 steps you can start taking to unlock and develop your own psychic skills!
1. Breaking Routine
Most of us have routines, we take the same way home from work, we go to the same places for vacations and we tend to have the same waking up and going to bed patterns. When we are in a new and different place, our senses automatically come alive as we need to be alert.
Change your routines. Eat in different places in the house. Sit in different chairs. Find new routes to and from your work. Go to a foreign country. Feed your senses.
2. Psychic Exercise
Find a friend who wants to work on their ability too. Make an agreement to take a moment of each day to fully concentrate on that person and then write the time that you did so. Have them do the same. Next, if you have a strong feeling about that person, note the time down. After about a week, compare notes. Do they correspond? If it doesn’t work right away, have patience, it will.
3. Talk to Animals
If you have a pet or know someone who does, find a quiet moment with the animal. Sit near them and think their name while you visualize yourself petting the animal or giving them a treat. Try this on several occasions. When the animal does come, give them a treat. It has been said that animals communicate with “thought pictures”. What images come to mind when you are with them?
Wear loose clothing and sit in a cross-legged position or in a comfortable, straight back chair. Place your hands face up in your lap. Now, close your eyes and imagine yourself in a favorite outdoor location. Take a long breath in, hold it for a moment and exhale slowly. Imagine that with each exhale you are relaxing yourself. Start with your toes, move to your feet, then your calves and shins and your knees and on up until you get to your head. If you are a fire or air sign yoga or martial arts might work better.
Start a notebook and record impressions, things that come to you for no reason and write them down. Many times we are psychically receiving information and are not paying attention. Even something as simple as anticipating the actions of another driver on the highway can be a form of psychic ability.
Look into people’s eyes. The grocery clerk, the bank teller, etc. Note what feelings you get. If you are in a group situation, watch how people relate to one another and ask yourself: “What are their dynamics?’ Observing people is an excellent way to develop your abilities.
7. Ask for a Message
Ask for a reason for the state of your affairs. It may come from an unlikely source who has no idea why they are saying to you what they are saying. You need to listen to everyone. A simple statement made by a stranger at the supermarket may hold the key to your own questions.
